Abandoned plane? Missed parked plane in the middle of a floral garden?
No, it is the new attraction of Dubai Miracle Garden, the Emirates A380. An addition to all the amazing sites and attractions Dubai is to offer. The Airbus A380 is a wide body double-deck plane, seating capacity of 519, overall length of 72.72m, and Wingspan of 79.95m. Emirates was the second airline to fly the A380, and Emirates currently has 92 A380 in service.
The construction of It took 500,00 fresh flowers and in full bloom will be 5 million flower weighing 100 tones. Labor force of 200 people, working 180days. A piece of art that has appealed to different people, such as remembrance to their home countries, and symbol of this countries prosperity.
For me every time I see an airplane it reminds me of my home country and how I arrived here. Did you know that about 81% of UAE’s population are expatriates? Expatriates trying to seek better opportunity offered by this prosperous country. Most of them away from their families, only coming home once every year or every two years. A plane is the connection of home to abroad. It also symbolizes the tourism goal of Dubai; this airline reaches out to the world. Emirates operates over 3,000 flights every week with in 141 destinations in 70 countries, and several new destinations to be added each year.
