Regular Guesting

Have you seen random people have been pulled in a street show? I think this is the way of the performer to get the audience attention, and also getting the crowd to be involved. And it adds to the excitement as a random people will be used in their stunts or tricks.

It was the 1st day of the yearly Dubai Marina Street Fest. I love to watch this kind of event, because it’s free and very entertaining. A fun place to be, away from the stress of our daily jobs, and regular lifestyle. Performers are very professionals in entertaining the crowd and getting them involved.

So, how many times do a guest should be pulled in a street show? Well this woman appeared 3 times out of 7 performers, In the same day that’s 42%, almost half of them picked her. I think that’s a pretty amazing stats (let me know if you had seen more), and maybe the only reason why she was not on other show is she was not present in the crowd for the other shows. Actually I only noticed this after reviewing the photos that I had taken that day, and ask myself she was the same woman.

You might be thinking it is scripted but it’s not. She was with 2 boys maybe it was her children I don’t know I haven’t had the chance to approach her. I was not planning to write this blog, I only had an idea of it when reviewing the photos at home after the show.

The first time she was pulled in was by Matteo Galbusera on his show called ‘The Loser’. She was asked to play tennis with the other male guest, and Matteo was controlling the ball, and presented the lady to be the winner.

The second time was by Shay Horay on his show called ‘The Rubberband boy’. Shay holds the gueness world record of the most rubber band on a face. The involvement of the woman was not putting the rubber band but for his final trick of escaping the Straitjacket. The lady assisted her in wearing this jacket, and made sure that everything was locked and tight.

Her third involvement was from Jaardu on his show called ‘The Magic of India’. Jaardu picked her because of her ring to be used in his final trick, but she was there from there almost from the beginning of the show. Her ring was collected by Jaardu, made it disappear by a handkerchief,

and at the end of the show to the surprise and amazement of the crowd it was collected inside of the orange that was opened by another guest, pretty amazing trick.
